The CO₂ Coalition Petition

Professor Richard Lindzen, MIT

PETITION

We urge the United States government, and others, to withdraw from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). We support reasonable and cost-effective environmental protection. But carbon dioxide, the target of the UNFCCC, is not a pollutant but a major benefit to agriculture and other life on Earth. Observations since the inception of the UNFCCC 23 years ago show that warming from increased atmospheric CO2 will be benign — much less than initial model predictions.

  1. Professor Lindzen,
I am impressed by your insight and views on Climate Issues as I have been able to learn about that on the Internet. Based on that and on what I have learned from friends presently active in the scientific community I will certainly be pleased to support your petition.

  2. Hello Everybody!

I think the root of the problem is astronomical and not related to what we eartlings do.
I am glad President Trump seems to have the same idea. The sun moves to different parts of the of the Galaxy, where the magnitude of presence of atoms, molecules and particles differ.

  3. Dear Dick
I am familiar with your profound insight in atmospheric dynamics behaviour so I have no difficulty in supporting your petition.

Enligt mitt lexikon betyder “benign” bl.a. “gynnsam”.

  6. Dr Lindzen says in last paragraph: “warming from increased atmospheric CO2″… But isn’t it the other way around? I.e. Increase in temperature increases amount of CO2 in the atmosphere?
